Willow Teepee: Living in the Living Swamp
In 2021 I purchased 3.3 acres of wetland in Wurtsboro, NY in order to explore living willow architecture. I planted a teepee of living willow on this site, the outlines of which are depicted in yellow below.
This structure is formed around a wooden deck sealed with natural pine tar.
