MAMOUN NUKUMANU

Unity body is an evolutionary living sculpture made from locally harvested bamboo and living trees. The bamboo is used as a mold for the growth of living trees that are cast into the desired form. This process takes about 2-4 years depending on the tree species used. Once the site has been chosen the trees planted, the bamboo mold is place and the living trees anchor it to the ground. The new growth is shaped annually during the winter.
